New wholesaler aims to connect farmers with crop protection manufacturers
Ancaster, Ontario. September 8, 2020.
Protecting outdoor fruits and vegetables from pests is an increasingly complex challenge as many key chemistries are exiting the market while new pests continue to emerge. At the same time, many crop protection manufacturers are developing new, innovative solutions to help Canadian growers address these concerns.
Identifying an opportunity to work with the established distribution and retail channel to connect fruit and vegetable growers with crop protection manufacturers, enter Cohort Wholesale.
Scott Hodgins, a twenty-year veteran of the crop protection business who will head-up the new business shared, “We are working with manufacturer partners to connect them with farmers where their products can improve fruit and vegetable quality. Farmers will already recognize many of the products we represent, and our partners have a number of new products in development as well.”
Cohort Wholesale aspires to be a trusted Canadian wholesaler of preferred-position outdoor fruit and vegetable crop protection products, working with the established distribution and retail channel to service all key markets, creating demand for and maximizing the in-field performance of our suppliers’ products to help farmers grow the best crops possible.
Cohort Wholesale-represented products currently include MilStop® fungicide from BioWorks, OxiDate® fungicide / bactericide from BioSafe Systems and Regalia® Maxx and Stargus® fungicides from Marrone Bio Innovations.
